The Wayne State University School of Social Work participated in the 2011 National Association of Social Workers \"Shout-Out\" on Gullen Mall. Social Workers and Social Work students were on hand to emphasize, through the "Social Work Shout Out" event, the professional status of social workers, their visibility and positive public perceptions. Channel 7 and Fox 2 cameras rolled as the flash mob gathered at the mall. Cassandra Bowers, assistant clinical professor and coordinator, School of Social Work, was interviewed on Fox 2.
